Stacy Tolkin’s primary practice areas include special education, student discipline, and Section 504. Before pursuing a career in law, Stacy spent over 25 years in public education, beginning as a school psychologist. She has worked with students from preschool through postsecondary education. After obtaining her administrative services credential, she held educational leadership roles, including district program specialist, SELPA coordinator, and director of special education. Stacy began her collaboration with charter schools approximately nine years ago. Stacy is a skilled IEP facilitator trained in a variety of facilitation and mediation techniques. Fostering and nurturing relationships are central to the process and always a priority. While serving as the SELPA coordinator, Stacy participated in The Center for Appropriate Dispute Resolution in Special Education (CADRE) symposium to support and promote alternative dispute resolution for special education.
